Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa

Nestled at the foothills of the Zwartkops Mountains in the 'Cradle of Humankind', Kloofzicht is the essence of tranquillity and ultimate luxury.

The property has six exquisite fly-fishing dams and the lower reaches of the Blaawbank River meanders through the unspoilt Zwartkops gorge. The dramatic scenery, natural vegetation and abundant wildlife sets the mood.

Natural wood and thatched roofs, cobblestones, rich materials and leather, bathtubs with beautiful views all complete the mood of timeless luxury. Fine dining and hand-selected wines will make your evening around a glowing fire one that will never be forgotten.

Kloofzicht Lodge is the ideal venue for upmarket conferences, special functions or product launches. The eight conference rooms, complete with state-of-the-art conference facilities, seat between 10 – 120 delegates. Allow the highly trained and experienced staff of Kloofzicht Lodge to take care of all the details to ensure a stress-free event, from catering to décor. The venue includes basic equipment (overhead projectors, screens, flipcharts and whiteboards). Additional equipment is available and rates are supplied on request. A variety of different teambuilding areas are available.

A fly-fishing experience of a lifetime awaits you, whether you are a pro or a novice. Fly fishing at Kloofzicht Lodge takes place under the expert guidance of Wayne Sinclair, the founding member of Sundown Adventures who has over 25 years of sport and fly fishing experience in Southern Africa. Introductory group fly fishing clinics, private fly fishing lessons and corporate fly fishing team building are also available. Guests have access to fish in the dams for trout, bass, carp and the river section for yellow fish.

Other recreational activities include archery, hot-air ballooning, guided nature walks, hiking trails, game viewing and bird watching.

The recently opened Oevermeer Bistro has stunning dam views and serves craft beers and foods in a relaxed setting amid beautiful surrounds.
